Falcon #50

San Juan, PR - 2018

Bought as a 'white canvas' this house was subtly remodeled, bringing a fresh modern look to the neighborhood. Instead of adding features to the house, original ornamental elements were removed to enhance the orthogonal lines and the gable roof at the main entrance. White color walls with travertine touches around necessary architectonic gestures such as overhangs, make the material and color palette selection.

Wide stairs threads covered with travertine tiles lead to the main entrance which features a platform-like thread with a bench specifically designed for the client to relax and enjoy a book, or a talk with the neighbors. Behind the bench is a vegetative area with gorgeous flowers that provide a calm and colorful view to the office room behind it. Right before the entrance door is a mosaic art piece, that measures 6'x4', and was made by the client specifically for her new home.
